Lisboa, August 03, 2018 - Located in the heart of Lisbon, the AFURI restaurant opens its first restaurant of authentic Japanese food in Europe, on August 6.

With 12 spaces in Japan and two in the United States of America, AFURI, which means superior, arrives in Portugal with the purpose of making known and sharing the true Japanese culture and gastronomy. In the menu of the restaurant AFURI you can find various delicacies, but the big star is Ramen. With this unique and authentic dish, AFURI intends to take the sacred Mount Afuri to the whole world and raise the Ramen concept globally.

One of the essential factors for the Ramen confection is the use of fresh and high quality ingredients, which is the main reason why Lisbon was the chosen venue for the opening of the first AFURI in Europe. Bathed almost in its entirety by the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal has always had as its main source of wealth the sea and all the resources that could extract it. The collection of fresh fish and shellfish, in a fast and safe way, is an added value that proved to be decisive for the choice of Lisbon.

Another reason was the privileged location of Portugal and the growth of tourism, being a great gateway to expand the business to the European continent, one of the goals of the brand. In addition to the internationalization projects, AFURI aims to introduce the authentic Japanese culture through the confection of a unique Ramen. AFURI's Ramen differs from the rest because it is lighter, fresher and more delicate. The quality of all ingredients is an essential point for AFURI, however, there is one particular ingredient that makes your Ramen so different and special - yuzu - a small yellow fruit of Asian origin. This small citrine marks the signature of Ramen AFURI, and is used essentially to aromatize and garnish both broths and charcoal grilled pork.

In addition to the Ramen, sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies will be available, as well as a special cocktail menu using Japanese saké and whiskey.

The restaurant is located on Rua Paiva de Andrada, 7-13, in Lisbon (Baixa-Chiado), serving meals between 11am and 3pm and from 6pm to midnight. The bar is open, without interruption, between 11am and midnight.
